passivhausMAINE Headquarters & Community Space

35 Main Street, Freeport, Maine

Located in the heart of downtown Freeport, passivhausMAINE’s new headquarters is a thoughtfully designed, light-filled space built to support education, collaboration, and meaningful work. The space is available for events, trainings, community meetings, and private or freelance work, and is designed to comfortably host both large gatherings and focused individual work.

Event & Gathering Space (Ground Floor)

Our main floor features a spacious presentation and meeting area that can comfortably host 60–100 people for lectures, workshops, panels, and community events. The entire front wall is lined with windows overlooking downtown Freeport, creating an open, welcoming atmosphere for public gatherings.

  • Tables, chairs, and AV equipment available

  • Flexible layout for lectures, meetings, and workshops

  • Adjacent areas for food spreads, catering, and tabling

  • Street-level visibility and easy accessibility

  • Coat storage, bathrooms, elevator access, and storage space

This level works especially well for trainings, public talks, nonprofit meetings, and community events that benefit from visibility and flow.

Workspaces & Meeting Areas (Second Floor)

Upstairs, the space shifts into a quieter, more focused environment designed for deep work and collaboration.

  • Unique phME work booths (snug, house-shaped spaces inspired by the phME logo) for private or semi-private work

  • Individual desks and small group work areas

  • Conference room for meetings or small sessions

  • Kitchen space for longer workdays or multi-day events

  • Bathrooms and storage

  • Large windows overlooking L.L.Bean’s campus, bringing in natural light and views

This floor is ideal for freelancers, consultants, small teams, study groups, and project-based work.
